Trinity Rep Radio Theater Lineup for October Announced

New installment, Tales from the Dark Side, to air October 3-5

Trinity Rep will continue its third season of Trinity Rep Radio Theater, created in partnership with WRNI, a service of Rhode Island Public Radio. Hosted by WRNI’s Morning Edition Host Bob Seay, the next installment of the show is entitled Tales from the Dark Side, and will air the weekend of October 3-5, 2008.

The October episode features the talents of resident company actors Janice Duclos, Mauro Hantman, Fred Sullivan Jr., and Rachael Warren. The actors will be reading from The Landlady by Roald Dahl (a young man finds a safe place to stay in the big city – or does he?); Wet Saturday by John Collier (Will this English family get away with murder?); and The Tell Tale Heart, by Edgar Allen Poe (murder and madness from the master of the macabre).

WRNI General Manager Joe O’Connor praised Trinity Rep Radio Theater as “a magical hour that feels timeless, with performances that entertain and illuminate.” O’Connor says the show is “a smoothly intertwined mix of conversation and context resulting in remarkable storytelling – as if you had the finest actors and their director around your kitchen table.”

October’s installment of Trinity Rep Radio Theater will broadcast on WRNI 1290AM Providence, 1230AM Westerly, and 102.7FM Narragansett on Friday, October 3 at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, October 4 at 1:00 p.m.; and Sunday, October 5 at 11:00 a.m. Free podcast subscriptions are also available online at www.wrni.org.

Trinity Rep Radio Theater is made possible in part by generous support from the Carter Family Charitable Trust. The program is co-produced by Trinity Rep Acting Company member Janice Duclos and Emily Atkinson, Artistic Associate for Communication.
