Auditioning
Trinity Repertory Company is a resident company of artists. There are no auditions intended specifically to join the company. One is invited to join after we have worked with you on a number of projects. We cast the resident company as frequently as possible each season.

Role specific – AEA and non-AEA - Out of town:
These happen throughout the year. We usually schedule these auditions through casting directors in New York. We do not use just one casting director. Depending on the project and schedule, we will use a different casting director. Casting directors invite actors to audition by contacting actors' agents directly. We occasionally audition actors in other cities.

Out of town for AEA members ony: These are announced through AEA and the trade papers. 2 monologues required totaling not more than 3 minutes.

Role specific - AEA and non-AEA - Local:
We announce these auditions on this web site and through The Providence Journal, and also occasionally through the Stagesource hotline in Boston.

Musicals - AEA - Out of town:
When applicable, we hold several days of musical auditions in New York for both principal (role specific) and chorus roles (generals). These are announced through AEA, in the trade papers and on this website.

Musicals - AEA and non-AEA - Local: These are announced in The Providence Journal, on this website and through the Stagesource hotline in Boston. These begin as general auditions and individual performers can be asked back to audition for a specific role.
