Auditioning

Trinity Repertory Company is a resident company of artists. There are no auditions intended specifically to join the company. One is invited to join after we have worked with you on a number of projects. We cast the resident company as frequently as possible each season. Annual local adult AEA auditions were held on July 24 and 25, 2010.

Children's auditions for A Christmas Carol will be held on Saturday, September 18, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Cardi’s Furniture Superstore (Route 1A, South Attleboro, MA). Children ages 8-12 are welcome to audition, although children who turn 13 before December 31, 2010, are not eligible. No appointment is necessary for the auditions. For directions, please visit www.cardis.com.

Submitting a Play
For more than three decades, Trinity Rep has maintained a commitment to the development and production of new theater works. Each season, Trinity Rep produces at least one premiere production, as well as readings and workshops of numerous new plays. Each year Trinity Rep's Mabel T. Woolley Literary Department reads and reviews hundreds of new scripts. The theater looks for new plays that are consistent with its aesthetic vision and production requirements. To submit a new play for consideration at Trinity Rep, a writer should first send the following materials: A cover letter introducing yourself and the history of your work in theater; A one-page synopsis of the play you would like to submit; Up to ten pages of dialogue from the play you would like to submit. These materials should be sent by regular mail to: Mabel T. Woolley Literary Department, Trinity Repertory Company, 201 Washington Street, Providence RI 02903. Your materials will be read and you will receive a response in approximately four-to-six weeks. If the full script of your play is requested, you may expect a response in three-to-four months.
