Project Discovery Student Matinees

This season marks the 45th Anniversary of Project Discovery. The classic Project Discovery program has given more than 1 million students the chance to experience live professional theater at a discounted price through student matinees. For teachers, Project Discovery is a powerful tool for bringing literature to life, aided by Trinity Rep's comprehensive, standards-based study guides, in-school workshops and professional development.

Pricing for Student Matinee Tickets:

• $15 per student ticket
• 1 free adult ticket per 15 students
• Each additional adult ticket will be $28
• $12 for bench seating (only available in Chace Theater)

In addition to our study guides, we offer supplements to complete your student matinee experience. Classroom education components are available through in-school workshops and in-school residencies. We provide professional development  and preview nights for teachers.

Students who choose to explore the world of professional theater in greater depth can participate in our School-to-Career Initiative of backstage tours, career fairs, job shadows and internships. 

Have an actor in your classroom!
You have the chance to have one of our actors or education staff members in your classroom to prepare them for the performance. The workshops can focus on the themes of the play, how an actor prepares a scene, design and more.
