Project Discovery Workshops & Residencies
Classroom workshops and residencies, from single visits to semester-long programs, are available through Trinity Prep, Trinity Prep Plus, and the Project Discovery Arts/Literacy Partnership. Students who choose to explore the world of professional theater in greater depth can participate in Project Discovery's School-to-Career Initiative of backstage tours, career workshops, job shadows and internships, as well as the extracurricular programs GTECH Theater Ambassadors and Trinity Rep Teen Collaborative.
In-School Workshops Invite a Trinity Rep teaching artist to your classroom. Workshops will involve hands-on activities designed to prepare students to see a particular play or to introduce them to theater disciplines such as acting, directing, and design. In some cases, it may also be possible to schedule these workshops at Trinity Rep in conjunction with a tour or student matinee. Cost per session: $100 Duration: 1 hour Maximum class size: 25 students Grades 3-12 For more information, contact us by email or (401) 521-1100, ext. 230. In-School Residencies A flexible theater residency program to meet your classroom needs! Working with a Trinity Rep teaching artist, students will use either a piece of literature from your classroom curriculum or a play from Trinity Rep’s mainstage season as a springboard to create their own text for performance. In the course of 3-8 visits, students will participate in theater games, improvisational exercises, and playwriting workshops, culminating in a performance for other members of their school community.
