Beyond The Stage at Trinity Rep

Spend your Saturday mornings at the theater.

Come explore and investigate the Trinity Rep artistic process in our new and improved Beyond The Stage Series.  Led by Linda Sutherland (with guest speakers Curt Columbus, Tyler Dobrowsky, and members of Trinity Rep's artistic team), participants will engage in a plethora of workshop activities, discussions, play readings and behind the scenes encounters that will center around specific themes and concepts that connect to our work onstage.

FALL SESSION:  The Stars of Stage & Screen
Saturdays from September 25 to November 13, 10AM-12PM, $100
How is the experience of watching a live performance different from watching a film? What is the relationship between these two similar - yet different - artistic mediums? The fall section of the Beyond the Stage series will examine the benefits as well as the disadvantages of turning a play into a movie (and a movie into a play), with a particular emphasis on Camelot and It's A Wonderful Life.

SPRING SESSION:  GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS!  Live Onstage and Totally RUDE!
Saturdays from February 26 to April 16, 10AM-12PM, $100
Medea.  Lady Macbeth.  Abigail Williams.  Wicked, tempestuous - and always interesting. Throughout history, there have been some wonderfully complex women to grace the stage, and we invite you to join us as we explore and investigate their historical significance and timeless appeal, especially through the lens of our own season offerings, The Crucible and Steel Magnolias, as well as the women from the Greeks to contemporary theater.
