ENDOWMENT

Just 60% of our annual operating expenses are covered by ticket sales. Annual Fund contributions from our subscribers and the philanthropic community bring us a long way towards meeting our annual needs, but endowment contributions ensure our future.

Gifts to our endowment benefit Trinity Rep forever. Carefully managed by our friends at the Rhode Island Foundation, our endowment fund (known as The Foundation for Trinity Repertory Company) operates as a permanent savings account, providing a reliable source of income and allowing us to take the artistic risks that make us Trinity.

There are several funds within the Foundation for Trinity Repertory Company to which you may contribute:

General Endowment Fund
Supports all activities at Trinity Rep, from underwriting tickets for Project Discovery performances to replacing spotlights to housing guest artists.

Doris Duke Endowment Fund
Supports artistic compensation and new play development.

Oskar Eustis Fund for New Play Development
Celebrates Oskar’s eleven years at Trinity and supports one of his great passions, the creation of new work.

Ed Hall Fund
Honors the memory of a consummate performer and dear friend at Trinity Rep. Supports Trinity Rep’s general operations.

Richard Kavanaugh Memorial Fund
Honors the late Richard Kavanaugh, a longstanding company member. Provides scholarships for young actors who have demonstrated financial need and have distinguished themselves in the performing arts prior to attending the Brown/Trinity Consortium.

Margo Skinner Memorial Fund
Honors the late Margo Skinner, a longstanding company member. Provides fellowships for young actors at Trinity Rep.

For more information about these and other named funds, call Richard Jaffe at (401) 521-1100, ext. 238.
