Providence Place Gives is a charitable event that celebrates five important organizations within Rhode Island and the passionate philanthropists who support them. The major goals of the event are to raise money for the five participating organizations, highlight women making a difference at each of these organizations, and continue to build Providence Place?s relationships within the community.

Each participating organization (Crossroads Rhode Island, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Meeting Street, Rebuilding Together, and Trinity Repertory Company) has selected a woman to honor in appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the organization.  These women will be featured in a two-page editorial spread in Rhode Island Monthly to build awareness of the event as well as the roles they play at each of their respective non-profits. Trinity Rep is proud to honor Board member and Campaign Chair Suzanne Magaziner.

Suzanne Magaziner first joined Trinity Rep?s Board of Trustees in 1990 and served until she and her husband Ira moved to Washington to work in the Clinton White House in 1993.  Trinity Rep?s Board welcomed her back to the Board in 2008. She now serves as Secretary of the Board and as a member of the Executive Committee.  In 2009 she served as Chair of the Pell Awards with Ira when their friend, Kevin Spacey, was honored.  Currently, Suzanne is serving as Chair of Trinity Rep?s $18 million Capital Campaign, working to bring the Campaign to a successful close by the end of the Theater?s 50th anniversary season in 2014 so that future generations may experience the transformative power of the arts.

The event will feature an open bar, complimentary hors d?oeuvres, a brief awards presentation to the five honored women, and a silent auction.  Proceeds from the silent auction will be split evenly between the five participating organizations. Rhode Island Monthly is the official media sponsor and partner of Providence Place Gives.

The organization who sells the most tickets and/or brings the most guests will receive an additional $1,000 for their organization.  Additionally, the organization who sells the most tickets will be invited back to participate in Providence Place Gives in 2013.
