Kevin Moriarty

Director

Kevin Moriarty was recently named artistic director at the Dallas Theater Center. He is an associate director at Trinity Rep and has directed productions of A Delicate Balance, Indoor/Outdoor; Richard II; The Merry Wives of Windsor (Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Direction from The Boston Theatre Critics Association); Nickel and Dimed; and A Christmas Carol (Boston, 2003 and Providence, 2000). Previous to his Dallas appointment, he was head of directing for the Brown University/Trinity Rep Consortium MFA Program and artistic director of the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, NY. At the Hangar Theatre, he directed world premiere productions of Bach at Leipzig by Itamar Moses; Rough Magic by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, and Indoor/Outdoor by Kenny Finkle. Other directing credits include The God Committee by Mark St. Germain (Lambs Theatre); the national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar starring Sebastian Bach and Carl Anderson; Betrayal (Syracuse Stage); Wit (Queens Theatre in the Park); Triumph of Love (Walnut Street Theatre); Indoor/Outdoor (Virginia Stage Company); and Jekyll and Hyde (Theatreworks/USA). Kevin is a past recipient of the Drama League Directors Project fellowship and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and Trinity Rep Conservatory.
