 At Trinity Rep, Liesl appeared as an actor in How I Learned to Drive, Peer Gynt, The Return of Don Quixote, and A Christmas Carol. Her regional directing credits include: The Good Negro by Tracey Scott Wilson, Dallas Theater Center; In the Continum by Danai Gurira and Nikkole Salter, Playmakers Rep; The Stick Fly by Lydia Diamond, Contemporary American Theatre Festival; Angela’s Mixtape by Eisa Davis, Synchronicity Performance Group; Flight by Charlayne Woodard, City Theatre; Hydriotaphia by Tony Kushner and Camino Real, Brown/Trinity Rep Consortium; David Schulner’s Isaac and Ishmael, Chautauqua Theatre Institute; The Good Negro, Sundance Theatre Institute. New York directing credits include: The Good Negro, Public Theater; Small Tragedy by Craig Lucas, NYU/Strasberg Institute; Uncle Vanya and Our Lady of 121st Street, Juilliard; Split Ends, La MAMA; Bus and Family Ties by Cristian Panaite at the Play Company’s Romania. Kiss Me! Festival; Misterioso 119 by Koffi Kwahule, Berkshire Theatre Festival and Act French Festival/Lark Theatre; Adventures of Barrio Grrrl by Quiara Hudes, SPF; and A Stone’s Throw by Lynn Nottage, Women’s Project. She was awarded a NEA/TCG Directors Grant and a New York Theatre Workshop Casting/Directing Fellowship. Liesl is a member of the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab and the Lincoln Center Director’s Lab. She has taught directing at the Brown/Trinity Rep Consortium and acting at NYU-Tisch School of the Arts. Liesl is a proud alum of the Trinity Rep Conservatory.
