Mr. Turner has been composing and performing music for 37 years. He has also worked at Soho Rep and the Dance Theater Workshop in NYC, Echo Theater in Portland Oregon, and Alias Stage and All Children’s Theater in Providence. Mr. Turner was the winner of the European Harmonica Championship and has toured extensively in Europe, Africa and North Amer-ica. Presently, he teaches at The Music School in Providence and plays in many local bands. He is also a featured soloist with the RI Philharmonic and the Ocean State Chamber Orchestra, and has performed and composed for MusicWorks, the Tanglewood Chamber Music series. In 2004 he performed at Lincoln Center with the Brooklyn Philharmonic for the world premiere of The Gaian Variations. In 2007 Chris performed several world premieres with the Aurea Ensemble including Anthony Burgess’ Sonatina for harmonica and guitar.
