producer Craig Watson joined the staff of Trinity Rep in 1998 as literary manager. He had previously served on the Board of Trustees and as a strategic and marketing consultant to the theater since 1992. After working his way through the ranks of the Hartford Stage Company as a carpenter, technical director, stage manager and company manager, he moved to Rhode Island in 1976 to create the first Office of Cultural Affairs for the City of Providence, a position he left to become managing director of Brown’s Rites and Reason Theater. From 1985 to 1996 he held various executive positions with GTECH Corporation, including Director of Marketing and Vice President of Public Affairs. He is the author of nine published books of poetry and the father of three children.
