Sustaining Gifts

Let us make things easier for you. Spread your pledge payments out over the course of a season, or simply make an automatic gift every month. You tell us when to start and stop, and we will take care of the rest. Sustaining gifts are an easy way to increase your impact without breaking the bank.

Matching Gifts

Does your employer match gifts? If so, they could double or even triple your support of Trinity Rep.  And, because Trinity Rep credits all matching gifts to their initiating donor, you would get the increased visibility and benefits associated with the higher level of giving.

More than 1,000 companies match donations made to Trinity Rep by their employees. Check with your employer’s human resources department to find out whether you can make your gift go even further.

Gifts in Honor Of

Looking for a meaningful gift for an avid theatergoer or arts lover? A gift to Trinity Rep in honor or memory of a loved one or friend is a special surprise sure to bring a smile to their face.

All gifts are recognized with an acknowledgement letter to the recipient and are acknowledged in a special section of our playbill for the duration of the season.

Honor gifts can be made securely online. Simply include your honoree’s name and contact information in the special notes section of the online gift form.

Gifts of Appreciated Stock

Did you know that transferring gifts of appreciated stock to Trinity Rep could give you substantial tax advantages? Capital gains on the amount of appreciation are avoided, and you receive a tax deduction for the stock’s full market value at the time of transfer. When you are ready to make the transaction, we ask that your broker transfer the securities to our Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated NFS account. Trinity Rep’s account number is 7GN-02125, DTC number is 8862 via Merrill Lynch. Trinity Rep’s tax identification number is 22-2547262.

QUALIFIED CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTION FROM YOUR IRA

You saved well and now you are well-provided for in your retirement. Instead of taking your IRA earnings as income, you can make a gift from that account to Trinity Rep and achieve tax savings at the same time. If you are 70 ½ years or older, you can transfer funds from your IRA by making a qualified charitable distribution to Trinity Rep. Contact your plan administrator to ask them to direct a gift to Trinity Rep, tax identification number 22-2547262.

DISTRIBUTION FROM A DONOR ADVISED FUND

An increasingly popular method of charitable giving, a donor-advised fund (DAF) can be an easy and flexible way to manage your giving and help you achieve your strategic philanthropic goals. Legacy Giving

In addition to gifts to our Annual Fund, you can also make your impact by joining our Stanzler Society through a Legacy Gift or give to our Endowment to ensure Trinity Rep is here for generations to come.

Endowment Giving

Gifts to our endowment benefit Trinity Rep forever. Carefully managed by our friends at The Rhode Island Foundation, Trinity Rep’s endowment operates as a permanent savings and investment account, providing a reliable source of income and allowing us to take the artistic risks that make us Trinity Rep.

More than a dozen funds comprise our endowment. You may direct a gift of any size to any of them or contact us for details about establishing your own named fund. Tangible Items (Clothing, Furniture, etc)

From time to time, Trinity Rep will accept donations of gently used and clean vintage clothing, furniture, and home goods. If you have an item that you are interested in donating to the theater, please contact the appropriate person below. Due to storage limitations, we can no longer accept in-kind donations that have not been approved in advance. Trinity Rep will not be held responsible for payment of costs related to the donation, such as legal and appraisal fees or any transfer costs.  Please note that Trinity Rep will not accept donations of fur coats or accessories, or items with fur trim.
