About the Show"I know some things that I never learned. It's just that I don't know what they are. I cannot grasp them."
In this compelling and gritty drama, Mae and Lloyd live in near destitution with only each other for company. When Mae invites their literate neighbor Henry into their home, his education and experiences shake the very foundation of their lives. In Mud, the Obie award-winning playwright María Irene Fornés offers audiences a glimpse into poverty's effect on the human condition.
For the full experience of delving into the dark and mysterious side of the human condition, see A Map of Virtue which is being performed in repertory on the Pell Chaffee Performance Center stage.
