Trinity Repertory Company’s Lederer Theater Center is home to two intimate theaters, which are small enough so that audiences are never more than 12 rows away from the actors. The 500+ seat Elizabeth and Malcolm Chace Theater and the recently-renovated 250+ seat Sarah and Joseph Dowling, Jr. Theater provide excellent sight lines and views of the stage. This historic landmark building located at 201 Washington St. in Providence, is two blocks off Interstate 95 at Exit 21.

The Chace Theater

The Elizabeth and Malcolm Chace Theater is our upstairs theater. The 500+ seat Chace Theater has just 12 rows, and no seat is more than 50 feet from the stage. The front row is accessible via elevator and is fully wheelchair accessible.

Occasionally, shows in the Chace Theater are performed in the round.

The Dowling Theater

The Sarah and Joseph Dowling, Jr. Theater is located at street level. Seating more than 250, the Dowling Theater provides an even more intimate experience, with only seven rows of seats. Row F can be reached without stairs, and can accommodate wheelchairs.

The Pell Chafee Performance Center

The Pell Chafee Performance Center, located at 87 Empire St., is home to our Brown/Trinity Rep MFA performances and education programs. It is a one-minute walk from our main theater location at 201 Washington St.

Seating configurations are subject to change. Check with the Ticket Office for the most up-to-date details.
