Bradly Widener is Trinity Rep’s Front of House Manager. He leads the team that includes House Managers, House Assistants, and Bartenders. His job is to ensure that our patrons receive the highest level of customer support possible, and lately he’s had a new goal: a completely Rhode Island supplied line of products.

“Trinity Rep is in a really great position to support local businesses and give them great exposure,” said Bradly.

In fact, he’s wanted to support local businesses since coming to Trinity Rep in October 2017. He’s already made progress and Trinity Rep currently supplies the following local products:

Ice Cream Machine cookies out of Cumberland

Granny Squibb’s Organic Iced Tea out of Providence

Virginia and Spanish Peanut Company out of Providence, (who are currently packaging “The Lover’s Mix” especially for Trinity Rep)

Foolproof Brewing out of Pawtucket

Borealis Coffee Company out of Riverside

“We’ve also been working with Hope & Main in Warren to help bring in more local products.”

Bradly has also completely rethought the way that alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks work at Trinity Rep: “Next season we’ll be carrying Narragansett Beer and their beverages and we are looking into carrying Yacht Club Soda out of North Providence.”

Though the limit to partnering with local vendors doesn’t end inside the theater. Bradly also reminds patrons that: “We have a partnership with Bottles Fine Wine in Providence on the East Side, for every play Curt Columbus picks a wine and if you buy the wine at Bottles we get 20% of the purchase price. Just go in and ask for ‘Curt’s Pick.’ They even have a display during our season!”

With Trinity Rep wanting to make all concessions local, there are still gaps that we’re looking to fill. “We’re currently looking for a local chocolate partner,” Bradly says. “In addition, we will be sending out a survey to patrons this summer to ask about their thoughts on local products and local businesses Trinity Rep should partner with. Keep your eyes out for it later this summer!”

If you have any local product ideas please feel free to reach out to Bradly at bwidener@trinityrep.com.
