Teatro en el Verano was founded in 2016 by Rhode Island Latino Arts in association with Trinity Rep. It serves as a forum for local Latinx artists to develop and present new bilingual English/Spanish plays. Our mission is to provide opportunities for artists, producers, and audiences to discuss and advance bilingual Latinx theater in Rhode Island and nationwide. Teatro en el Verano will continue its annual tradition of offering free, bilingual theater in the Providence area this summer.

This year’s production is La Luz Verde, based on The Great Gatsby., has closed. See you in 2024!
