Happy Closing to FADE! We just want to say congratulations to the cast and crew on a wonderful run. And, as always, please join us today after the performance at 2:00 pm for a closing talkback and celebratory toast. Also, fun fact? For a portion of the run - the Emmy was real! As rehearsals begin for Radio Golf, we’re learning more about August Wilson’s prestigious career. Did you know he’s a six-time Pulitzer Prize nominee, and two-time winner? Or that his plays have won two Tony Awards? Find out more below. ... See more
Our critics talk about the power of language and representation from the playwright, a great chronicler of the 20th century.
We’re so excited to welcome Ricardo Pitts-Wiley back to Trinity Rep in August Wilson’s Radio Golf! Since starting as an Acting Fellow in 1974, he’s appeared in over two dozen shows here, with the most recent being 2001’s “The Cider House Rules.” This isn’t his first August Wilson play at Trinity Rep either; in the 2000-01 Season, he played Doaker in “The Piano Lesson,” among others. In fact, out of the ten plays in Wilson’s Century Cycle, Ricardo has taken on roles in eight of the ten shows, with “Radio Golf” bringing his total to nine. In addition to his onstage work, Ricardo also makes great contributions to the arts off stage. 2020 marks the twentieth anniversary of Mixed Magic Theatre, which Ricardo co-founded and served as the long-time Artistic Director. We’re glad to have you back, Ricardo! Here's a picture of him gearing up in first rehearsal yesterday. ... See more

Here's to 2020 from all of us here at Trinity Rep!
Since it's the last day of the 2010s we polled some of our staff to ask their favorite productions of the past decade. Here are a few of our favorite responses: Laura Smith, production director, chose the 2013-14 Season's "The Grapes of Wrath" (Photo, top left corner, featuring the cast.) Artistic director Curt Columbus says that 2014-15 Season's "Glass Menagerie" was his favorite. (Photo, top middle, of Anne Scurria and Brian McEleney.) Kate Brandt, director of marketing and communications said that the 2015-16 Season's "To Kill a Mockingbird" was hers. (Photo, top right of Angela Brazil and Stephen Thorne.) Gayle Ulrich, general manager, said that the 2016-17 Season's "The Mountaintop" truly inspired her. (Photo, bottom left, of Mia Ellis and Joe Wilson, Jr.) Michael Guy, our creative director, chose the 2017-18 Season's "Into the Breeches!" as his favorite. (Photo, bottom middle, of Phyllis Kay, Stephen Berenson, and Janice Duclos.) Our accounts payable and HR assistant Jessica Toporoski said that last season's "Little Shop of Horrors" was her favorite.
