About A Christmas Carol
Each year since 1977, Trinity Rep has reinvented and re-told Charles Dickens’ story of holiday cheer, redemption, and the power of kindness, reaching thousands of families and schoolchildren from across Southern New England. Last year, more than 34,000 people attended the production, including nearly 8,000 K-12 students from 92 schools. A Christmas Carol at Trinity Rep is a beloved experience shared between generations, a first-time theater experience for many children, and a wonderful tradition that this year, can be shared with friends and family near and far. Trinity Rep believes so strongly in the power of this story that despite our own financial challenges right now, we are making the show available for free to anyone this year. The project still carries significant expenses, so we are relying on the generosity of sponsors and donors to help bring it to life.
