Streaming for free through January 17 as part of the The Public Theater's Under the Radar Festival, CAPSULE is a kaleidoscopic reflection on isolation and longing, about breaking apart and breaking free and the impossible nature of connection. As part of our ongoing commitments to reinventing the public square, engaging our diverse community in a continuing dialogue, and advancing the ideals of anti-racism, we encourage our community to explore the reporting done by the Washington Post and other trusted media outlets, particularly as they highlight the racist elements of yesterday’s horrific events in Washington DC.

“In this moment of unrest, violence and anger,” (Georgia Senator-elect Raphael) Warnock wrote, “we must remember the words of Dr. King. ‘Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.’ Let each of us try to be a light to see our country out of this dark moment.”

The Trinity Rep family is saddened by the passing of Sandra Nathanson, who died peacefully yesterday. Sandy was Trinity Rep's prop mistress and set dresser from the late 1960s to the early 1980s, and was a key member of the team of Adrian Hall, Richard Cumming, and Eugene Lee who established Trinity Rep's lively style and reputation. If not from Trinity Rep, you might know her from her antiques shop, The Lady Next Door in Warren, or as a part of the family that created the game Banagrams, one of Rhode Island's best-loved exports. Indeed, Sandy’s entire family was an integral part of the Trinity Rep family in those years. Her humor and devotion to her family and friends will be greatly missed. ... See more
